An increasingly popular orthodontic treatment option over the last few years is Invisalign™. We are often asked if this cutting edge alternative to conventional braces is suitable for teenagers wishing to have orthodontic treatment completed without the visible brackets and bands associated with normal braces. Invisalign orthodontic treatment uses a series of thin, clear, custom-made aligners to gradually move your teeth into a more desirable position. The system we use most often in young people is called Invisalign Teen which has features built into it that are specifically designed for this age group.

The aligners really are practically invisible and each one is worn for a two week period before proceeding to the next stage. A bonus is that, because they are removable, they can be taken out to allow normal oral hygiene routines.

We take initial scans of your mouth on a computer called an iTero which is extremely accurate and also means you don’t have to have the old-fashioned goopy impression material in your mouth! We then provide a computer simulation of the anticipated result for you to look at before we even start treatment just to make sure you are happy with the smile result.
